In June 2008, approximately 1,000 acres of land were annexed into the Town of Olds for future residential, commercial, and industrial growth, one of them being the new La Terra Ventures “Discovery Plains” property. This 132-acre parcel is neighboring fully developed residential lands and has two major road accesses with adjacent utilities.  Prior to La Terra Ventures Inc. securing the land, the town of Olds initiated a process to designate Discovery Plains as Urban Reserve in anticipation for future development. Having already gone through some major pre development stages helps to ensure the future of the Discovery Plains property.
