As a world leader in oil sands development, Time Magazine describes Alberta’s oil sands as “Canada's greatest buried energy treasure,” and “could satisfy the world's demand for petroleum for the next century.”

This 132-acre parcel is neighboring fully developed residential lands and has two major road accesses with adjacent utilities.  Prior to La Terra Ventures Inc. securing the land, the town of Olds initiated a process to designate Discovery Plains as Urban Reserve in anticipation for future development. Having gone through some major pre development stages helps to ensure the future of the Discovery Plains property.

La Terra has been working closely with the Town of Olds and Brown & Associates Planning Group to ensure that the proposed development is suitable and sustainable. Environmental studies have been completed on the land and it has been determined that it is appropriate for future development.
