On August 23, 2010 the Town of Olds Council met and unanimously granted First Reading on the following four items:
1.To amend the towns existing Municipal Development Plan in order to allow for the Discovery Plains proposed land uses
2.To amend the towns existing North West Area Structure Plan to allow for the commercial land use on the Discovery Plains property
3.To adopt the new Discovery Plains Area Structure Plan
4.To adopt the Discovery Plains Phase 1 Land Use Bylaws
Council also unanimously approved a motion to include the four items on the September, 2010 Town of Olds Hearing for consideration of Second Reading and Third Reading.
